APPLICATION PROCESS

Although there are many opinions on how to press the DTF transfers, We recommend the following. Always test your garment with a sample print first before mass production.
Best practice is to apply with a commercial grade heat press.
Press Temp:  320 deg.

STEP 1 - PRE PRESS

This step involves pre-pressing the fabric prior to transferring the DTF image to the garment.   Pre-Press the garment for 2-5 seconds.  This is necessary to flatten the fabric and also ensures the de-humidification of the fabric.  This process will help in a proper transfer of the image from the film to the garment.

STEP 2- TRANSFER IMAGE TO GARMENT

This step is the most important part of the DTF printing process.  The film with the image and special melted powder is placed on the pre-pressed garment in the heat press for a strong adhesion between film and fabric.  This process is called "curing".  This process is done at a press temperature range of 315-320 degrees for approximately 12-17 seconds.  (this is where you need to do a sample press and determine what amount of time works best for you).  After this press the image is attached to the fabric.

STEP 3 - HOT PEAL

Your DTF prints are produced on a Hot Peal film.  Once you complete STEP 2 you are able to remove the film from the shirt.  (Pay close attention to see if any part of the edge of the image starts to remove itself from the garment)  (if the image starts to remove from the garment you must repress for additional time)

STEP 4 - POST - PRESS

This step is optional but is highly recommended to achieve best results of your DTF image.  The POST - PRESS is done by applying a Teflon sheet over the image and pressing for an additional 4-5 seconds.

STEP 5 - ADMIRE YOUR GARMENT

Take a second and hold your garment up and make sure that its straight and aligned the way it should be.  NOBODY wants a crooked design!

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

We recommend washing ANY decorated garment inside out and hang to dry.  DO NOT BLEACH.  If you have to dry the garment, put on the lowest heat setting possible.
